The information you provide typically includes your name, email address, telephone number, the general category of your legal matter, and any details you choose to share about your situation. Please do not send sensitive medical records or confidential case documents through the Site.

Information collected automatically

When you browse the Site, we and our analytics provider may automatically collect limited technical and usage information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring source, pages viewed, interactions such as button clicks and form engagement, approximate location derived from technical data, and analytics identifiers. This information is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

Attorney Client Relationship and Confidential Information

Contacting us through the Site does not create an attorney client relationship. An attorney client relationship is formed only through a signed written agreement with Segal Law Firm, P.C. Please do not assume that we represent you until the firm has agreed in writing to do so.

Because of that, you should avoid submitting confidential or highly sensitive legal information through the Site unless we ask you to. Information sent before an attorney client relationship exists may not receive the same protections as communications made after representation begins, although we handle all inquiries with care and discretion.

Saving Our Contact Card

The Site offers a contact card you can save to your phone. Saving or downloading the Segal Law Firm contact card does not require you to provide personal information to the firm and does not transmit your personal contact information, address book, or saved contacts to Segal Law Firm. The file is created in your browser and contains only the firm's own contact details.

Our ordinary website analytics may separately record that an interaction happened, for example a visit to the Save Segal page or a contact card download, along with the usual technical details described above. Measuring that an interaction occurred is not the same as receiving information stored on your device.

Saving the contact card by itself is not consent to receive email, text messages, or other communications from the firm, and it does not create an attorney client relationship, a consultation, a case evaluation, a scheduled appointment, or any obligation for the firm to represent you. Any consent to contact you comes from the separate step where you actually give us your information.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies for core functionality, to remember which version of a tested page you were shown, to measure performance, and for analytics. We do not currently display a cookie preference banner. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Some parts of the Site may not work properly if you disable them.

Analytics and Website Testing

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our pages. Analytics may measure page visits, traffic sources, interactions such as button clicks and form engagement, and conversion events such as submitting a contact form or booking a call.

We also run simple tests that show different versions of a page or of a follow up step so we can learn which version is more helpful. To do this we store an anonymous visitor identifier and a record of which version you were shown, together with the related interaction events, in our own database. These records are tied to a randomly generated identifier rather than to your name, and we do not attempt to identify you from them.

If you provide a mobile number, you may receive calls or text messages from the firm about your inquiry. Message and data rates may apply. You can ask us to stop at any time.

Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Some of our content concerns injuries to children, and an adult may choose to tell us about a child's situation when contacting the firm. If you believe a child has provided information to us directly, please contact us so we can remove it.
